We left Guatemala on Saturday and traveled for much of the day to reach Caye Caulker, one of the barrier islands just off the coast of Belize. There is not much to do here except lay on the beach, snorkel, swim, eat, nap, eat some more, and have a drink or two. I hope we can survive this grueling schedule. We are hoping to take a 3 day/2 night sailboat cruise starting tomorrow to the southern Belize town of Placencia. They only make the trip if they have at least 8 passangers and things are real quiet right now. We find out later tonight if we are going. One way or another, we will try to get to Placencia in the next couple of days because that is where we catch a boat to Honduras for the next phase of the trip. Now where did I put my piña colada... |
