Our home for three days Our crew Gilligan and the Skipper
Three days, two nights. Sailing the open seas off the coast of Belize. Snorkel, eat, snorkel some more. Not a bad way to pass some time, eh? Our first night on our sailboat cruise we camped at Rendevouz Island, which is barely bigger than a postage stamp, yet we managed to squeeze seven tents onto it. How amazing to spend a night on a tiny island in the Caribbean, completely isolated from the rest of the world. The night sky was brilliant, and the jugglers/fire dancers who were our companions on the trip were almost as good. Too bad the magical feelings were washed away in the morning by torrential rains. For the most part, the snorkeling was very good. We saw a whole lotta fish (including a couple of manta rays) and corals of all shapes and colors, almost as if we were swimming in someone's fish tank. Too bad we didn't have better company for the trip. I think we just had different priorities. Our European companions were more interested in ganja and rum, and we were more into manta rays and coral. So it goes.
